Before you fill out our application please review Our Adoption Process:

We are a volunteer-based organization. Please keep that in mind and try to be as respectful of their time as they will be of yours as we try to get you through the process of adopting your new furry family member.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our dogs in foster, please complete and submit the adoption application below.

The representative volunteer in your area will review your application to determine if you and the dog are a potential fit for each other or if we could possibly have another dog for you that would be a great fit,  if the one you have applied for has already been approved for another adopter.

If we decide to move forward with your application, a volunteer will contact by phone to go over more details about your application. We cannot guarantee a certain time period that we will contact you, but we try to have a volunteer contact you as soon as possible.

 Please be patient with us. Currently, we are unable to respond to all applicants immediately upon receipt of your application.

After we have, interviewed you, contacted your references, and followed all of our potential adoptee standard protocols, had a meet and greet with you and your family, we make the final decision for adoption. We will then send you an adoption contract to sign, the tax-deductible adoption fee will need to be paid, and the we will make arrangements to meet you with your new family member to go to their FOREVER home.   The adoption fee covers medical expenses to properly vet the dog (shots, neutering, etc.), costs of keeping the pet in a foster home or kennel, transport fees, and other expenses that have been incurred.

AFTER THE ADOPTION:   You are now an ASF family member!  We will always be here for you.  We love getting updates!  We will be here to offer any guidance or resources you may need at any time.  We have a special Facebook Group just for Adopter to stay connect with us and share stories with other ASF Adopters and Alumni dogs!
